REFUSE, RECYCLING, E-WASTE & LEAF COLLECTION
REFUSE - It is the responsibility of the owner or occupant of a residence or business to have their garbage at the curbside on pick-up day. Pick up day for the village is every Tuesday. Have your garbage and recycling cart out to the curb by 6:00 am. If a recognized holiday falls on collection day or the Monday before, then the pick up day will be delayed by one day (i.e. Labor Day is on a Monday, the pick up day will be Wednesday). Once the garbage collectors have passed a certain street, they will not return. If you are out of town on that particular day, please have a friend or neighbor set the garbage out for you and collect them when emptied. Please remember that the Badgerland service is for garbage/recycling only. The garbage collector will not collect leaves, clippings or brush, medical waste or wet paint or hazardous materials. BULK ITEMS - For items such as refrigerators, washers, dryers and other large household items collection is on the scheduled trash day. All items need to be called in to Badgerland (1-608-580-0580) to schedule the item for pick up. Items must be called in at least 48 hours prior to the collection day. E-WASTE COLLECTION - Badgerland holds a one day event to collect electronics. This is where residents can drop off their computer, printer, VCR, TV etc and there is no drop off charge. Look on our community calendar for the date of this event. RECYCLING - Badgerland picks up recycling on an "every-other-week" basis. The scheduled recycling pickup for the month is on the Deerfield website home page. Place your recyclables in the recycling cart provided by Badgerland.
